Clinical Hypnotherapy

Family Support

Hi, I’m Ria. I’m a BACP Registered Counsellor offering in-person and online counselling & hypnotherapy for adults, and connection-focused family support. I work in a warm, grounded and relational way, creating space for honest reflection and depth, rather than quick fixes. Attention is paid to early attachment patterns, unconscious processes, and the ways past relationships shape present difficulties.

My background includes supporting people through anxiety, low mood, trauma, grief and complex relationship challenges, alongside safeguarding work with children and young people. I have a particular interest in neurodivergence and the relational dynamics between parents, carers and their children. I welcome clients of all genders, backgrounds and beliefs, including LGBTQ+ individuals.

What drew me to this work wasn’t just academic interest. It was multi-faceted. Years of my own personal therapy, taking time to understand how early experiences shaped my relationships. Parenting a neurodivergent child, and the challenges faced and overcome. Training in massage therapy, where I came to appreciate the power of the mind-body connection. Through this, I learned that insight can be powerful, but it is embodied, lived change that brings a deeper sense of equilibrium and meaning.

I believe growth is one of the most meaningful aspects of being human. Alongside it comes a quiet confidence, a stronger sense of self, and the capacity for self-leadership.

At the heart of my work is the relationship between us. Meaningful progress is built on safety, trust and genuine connection. Therapy with me is a steady, calm, confidential space where you can explore patterns, make sense of your experiences and move towards living more authentically. Whilst currently training in Clinical Hypnotherapy, this support is currently being offered at a reduced fee.

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me on long walks in nature, camping with my daughter, or enjoying a slow morning when life allows it.
