Service Description

Going through cancer treatment can feel isolating, overwhelming, and exhausting even when you’re surrounded by people. This 6-week cancer support yoga programme is designed to offer a calm, understanding space to move gently, connect with others, and take a breath from everything else. Each session lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes, with 45 minutes of gentle, accessible yoga, followed by 30 minutes of relaxed conversation and drinks. The yoga is slow, supportive, and adaptable, with a focus on comfort, mobility, and listening to your body. No previous experience of yoga is needed, and everything is optional; rest is always welcome. This programme is privately funded by the founder and teacher, we kindly ask that anyone who joins is able to commit to attending the full 6 weeks wherever possible. We have created this for anyone currently undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or living with the ongoing physical and emotional impact of cancer. Whether treatment was in the past, is recent, or ongoing, you are welcome. This is not about pushing your body or “staying positive.” It’s about having somewhere real to land, where discussions can be raw, and honest. Somewhere you can use as you need week by week.

Care, Commitment & Participation Guidance This 6-week yoga programme is offered free of charge, with all costs fully covered by us. We are absorbing the full cost of delivery so that participants can access gentle, supportive movement without financial barriers. Because places are limited and the programme is privately funded by the founder and teacher, we kindly ask that anyone who joins is able to commit to attending the full 6 weeks wherever possible. This helps us hold the group with care, use our resources responsibly, and ensure places are taken by those who feel able to attend consistently. We understand that health, treatment schedules, and energy levels can change. If you need to miss a session, you are always welcome to return the following week there is no pressure to explain or make up what you’ve missed. Gentle Participation Notes This programme is designed to meet you where you are, week by week. All movement is optional and adaptable, and rest is always welcome. We gently encourage you to check in with your healthcare team before joining if you have recently had surgery, are currently undergoing intensive treatment, or have been advised to limit certain types of movement. Please let the facilitator know how you are feeling at any time. You are always welcome to rest, modify, or simply be present without movement.
