Service Description

Clinical Hypnotherapy* itself is a safe and natural state of focused awareness, similar to becoming deeply absorbed in a book, film or daydream. You remain aware and in control throughout. Rather than “switching off”, many people describe feeling calmer, physically relaxed, or more connected to their thoughts and emotions. Hypnotherapy is often thought of as something completely separate from talking therapy, but in practice, they naturally overlap. My background is in counselling and psychotherapy, so alongside hypnotherapy, I also draw upon reflective conversation, emotional exploration, nervous system awareness and psychoeducation to support lasting change. Some sessions may involve more talking and processing, while others may include guided relaxation, imagery or hypnotic techniques. Together, we adapt the work to what feels most supportive and appropriate for you. Hypnotherapy can be helpful for a wide range of difficulties including anxiety, stress, confidence and self-esteem issues, fears and phobias, sleep difficulties, habits and emotional overwhelm. By combining therapeutic conversation with hypnosis, we are often able to work not only with conscious understanding, but also with the deeper emotional and behavioural patterns that can keep people feeling stuck. First Session: Usually focused on getting to know you and understanding what has brought you to therapy. We'll explore your experiences, current difficulties, goals, patterns and strengths, while also discussing how hypnotherapy works and answering any questions you may have. If appropriate, we may also begin some gentle therapeutic or hypnosis-based work. Future sessions: Tend to involve a blend of reflection, emotional processing and hypnotherapy techniques tailored to your needs. We may review what has come up since the previous session, notice patterns together and use hypnosis to support emotional regulation, confidence, behavioural change or deeper therapeutic insight. Every person responds differently, so there is no rigid “one size fits all” approach. Therapy is a collaborative process and sessions are adapted to your pace, needs and goals. Cancellation Policy

When you book a session, you’re making a commitment to yourself and we really honour that. Because our spaces are small and carefully held, all bookings are non-refundable and non-cancellable. If life shifts, you’re very welcome to transfer your booking to another date with at least 24 hours’ notice. Changes within 24 hours, or not attending on the day, can’t be moved or credited. Thank you for respecting this it helps us keep the space consistent, supportive, and available for those who need it.
